  1. What does Being Beautiful mean to you?
Being beautiful is about living as a whole-hearted, authentic person. This means knowing who you are at your best and choosing to live from your best self as often as you can (we all mess up a lot, but that’s ok because we always get to choose differently in the next moment).
  2.  What is your beauty routine?
I’m pretty low-maintenance. I use a gentle facial cleanser to wash off makeup. I occasionally moisturize when winter dries out my skin. I’ve found that the more products I use and the more I mess with my face, the worse it gets.
  3. What makeup product can’t you live without?
Mascara! I always emphasize my eyes, so the blackest black Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara is my go-to.
  4. How does makeup make you feel?
It makes me feel polished, alive, and bold.  And creative!  I love choosing which eye liners and eye shadows to pair with an outfit when I’m getting dressed up for something.
  5. What is your go to makeup look?
Most of the time I don’t wear any makeup because I’m working from home or lounging in a coffee shop pretending it’s my office. But, when I get dressed up to speak or go out with friends or on a date, I go with MAC’s Studio Fix as my base, sparkly mineral blush, and then it’s all about the eyes…so, liner or dark shadow at the lashes and then I choose the other colours based on how I feel and how dramatic I want to get. And the finishing touch is mascara to make my eyes look even bigger.
  6. If you are going to an event, how does your makeup look change?
The main thing that would change for a really fancy event would be more of a smoky eye and actual lip colour. I usually don’t do a coloured lip because I’m always emphasizing my eyes, but whenever I’ve had my makeup done, like with Jewel, I like the lip colour they add. So, I’m doing this on my own more for when I get really dressed up.
  7. Any Beauty Tips you want to share?
Don’t over-pluck your eyebrows like I did when I was 16! As a Greek woman, I have so much hair that grows all over my body (thank you laser hair removal!!), but for some reason, the one place I really want the hair to grow back (my eyebrows) it won’t! =(   Also, I suggest treating yourself to spa days, like at Body Blitz, once a month, especially in the winter. You’ll feel amazing, relaxed, and show yourself how much you love yourself, and what could be more beautiful than that??
  8. What is your favorite beauty tool?
My blowdryer. I have thick, coarse, curly hair and a few years ago I discovered that more than any product choice, the blowdryer & diffuser I use has more impact on how my curls fall. Go as high-end as possible. Mine was about $300 and has a fancy motor that is also really lightweight. It felt like a total splurge to spend so much, but my curls have never looked better.
  9. Who is your beauty role model?
I admire everyone who consciously works towards becoming the best version of themselves on the inside and outside. If we feel terrible about who we are, like we’re not worthy or enough, then that translates to our outward appearance, and no amount of makeup can fix that. I believe that inner beauty and outer beauty work together to create the whole person.
  10. Is it important to you to use makeup with skincare benefits?
No, this isn’t something I’ve thought about very much.
  11. Is it important to you to use cruelty free products?
    Yes, this I care about.
  12. What did you enjoy about working with StyledLady4Ever?
Jewel was great to work with. She’s friendly and personable, and, of course, had me looking gorgeous!
